This could have been a really great book, but it went from a 10 year old to a college student at the turn of a page...The closeness the quilt brought to the whole family was a perfect form of togetherness, but then you learn, as mater of fact that the Mother had died 2 years after the quilt was made. I was just disappointed that it wasn't a more detailed story. But give a BIG 5 STARS for showing a child what YOUR WORD really means in real life.

Old-fashioned, simple stories with morals. Jack learns about a mother's love. A young man works hard to win a bicycle. Heart-warming.
